About me

 

    I love/like drawing since I can remember, from primary school. I was doodling all kind of things all the time, during classes, at High school, at college, anywhere I could get a sheet of paper and any drawing instrument. I still have some of those sketches. Then, by 2000, my father started sketching a landscape on canvas prepared for himself but I don’t remember why he asked me to finish his project. It was my first panting on canvas ( you can see it on the section “Tempera”: “Winter”). After I had finished my next picture I gave up painting. I kept sketching this and that, from time to time. Until 2009, when a world famous caricaturist, Mr. Mihai Pânzaru-PIM saw the two paintings, and his encouragements determined me to come back at this activity which now is taking most of my little spare time that I have got.

     Next I participated in various exhibitions: in June 2009- at Suceava City Hall, “The spring-summer Salon of amateur artists in the county”, the same one in 2010- under the aegis of  the Society of Artists and Arts’ Buddies from Bucovina, in January 2011 – at Administrative Palace from Suceava: “Winter in Bucovina” etc, and my personal exhibition from August 2012, at Iulius Mall Suceava. During the same period I had works exhibited in the exhibition commemorating 500 years from the foundation of  Hagigadar Monastery. Between 8th may-22nd  May 2013 I had a personal exhibition at “ Everybody’s Gallery- No hard feelings” inside the Zimbru Commercial Centre from Suceava. There I had exhibited older works but some new as well, with goodwill hosts, especially Mrs. Pricopiuc Lucica.

     “Plastic/ Fine arts Confluences” is the title of one exhibition from Iulius Mall Suceava between 3rd June -3rd July 2013, together with Leonard Melisch, awarded at the last edition of the “ Ion Irimescu National Competition of Fine Arts”.

     Lots of thanks to the events organizers, to all those who honored us with their presence at the vernissage from the 7th of June, and especially to Mr. PIM! Between the 1st of November and the 2nd of December 2014 together with the same good friend Leonard Melisch and supported by the same organizers, I exhibited again at Iulius Mall Suceava under the title “ Chromatic Confluences”

     At the end of 2015( the 16th of November- the 17th of December) I varnished together with the illustrator Andreea Alexandra Stela Juduc a graphical exhibition inside The Centre to Support the Traditions of Bucovina from Suceava.

     Then, in August - September 2016, I varnished the exhibition named "Ilisesti", at After school building center from Ilisesti, in Suceava county, with the support of my painting teacher, Dumitru Rusu.

       The last event was "SHE", a solo painting exhibit at the Roumanian Architects Order Center, in Suceava - August, 2017. Many thanks to the events organizers, and especially to Mr. PIM!

       Since 2013 I have been a member of “ Tonitza Art Group” TAG (http:/www.tag.usv.ro/) together with a core group of artists from Suceava (amateurs or well-known) with whom I have participated in many group exhibitions.

      Starting with the autumn of 2013 I joined the “Ion Irimescu Popular School of Arts” from Suceava, painting section, teacher Rusu D-tru, which I graduated in June 2016.

      In May 2014 I participated in the “Tudor Jarda National Contest of Contemporary Painting”, contest organized by the Popular School of Arts with the same name from Cluj Napoca , where I received the 1st prize/place with my work ”Fishing at dawn”. In February 2015 I was awarded the 2nd prize/place at the “Ion Irimescu National Fine Arts Contest”, painting section. In May I participated in “Nicolae Mantu National Contest of Visual Arts”, painting section, organized by the “ Lower Danube Cultural Center “ from Galati and I received the 3rd prize/place with my work entitled “Old Boats”.   In May 2016 I participated again at the same contest organized by “Lower Danube Cultural Center” from Galati and I was awarded with a special prize for my work “Lighthose keeper”. In december 2016 I received the 1st prize/place with my work ”Pain” at the Annual Artist Exhibition Contest, Suceava, Romania. In december 2018 I received the ex aequo prize with my work ”Portrait” at the Annual Artist Exhibition Contest, Suceava, Romania.
